100% of the money raised through sponsorships and pledges will be donated to the charities below. The Garden of Hope Foundation will recieve a major donation, with smaller donations to the Community Services Center and the Taipei City Hospital.

THE CHARITIES

The Garden of Hope Foundation offers essential services for victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and child prostitution in Taiwan. The Garden of Hope is a leading non-profit, non-government group, established in 1988 to help women and children island-wide. It helps some 2,000 women and girls every year with services such as shelters, counseling and social work. In 2005, the GOH was awarded the prestigious World of Children’s Award for Child Development, and in 2004 was named Asia-Pacific NGO of the Year.

The Community Services Center provides vital services including outreach and early intervention through counseling, life skills programs, and information to meet the needs of the international community in Taipei. The Center has been helping Taiwan’s expatriate community since 1987.
